Southeast Alabama is home to one of the post-secondary aviation training facilities authorized by the Alabama Board of Education. From aviation maintenance technology to aviation composite materials, the Alabama Aviation College provides students hands-on experience in a wide range of career tech programs in the related field. The college has three locations across Alabama, Ozark, Andalusia, and Albertville. South Alabama is also home to Fort Rucker, the U.S. Army’s Aviation Center of Excellence.
Southeast Alabama community colleges have curriculum designed to meet the needs of local industries. Students will learn from industry professionals and choose programs where they will gain skills to translate directly into some of the top industries including aerospace and aviation, advanced manufacturing and automotive.
AIDT is Alabama’s nationally recognized workforce training resource for industries in Alabama and is ISO 9001:2008 certified. Services include pre-employment selection and training, leadership development, on-the-job training, maintenance assessments and other training customized to a company’s needs.
Alabama Technology Network helps Alabama employers be more efficient, more productive and more competitive by providing training, services or connections to other available resources. Services are customized to the needs of individual companies and include lean manufacturing, quality systems and engineering, industrial maintenance, engineering and technical services and more.
