Support Local Businesses
We understand the following weeks will be difficult for many of our local businesses and employees. We encourage citizens to continue to support local businesses. Below are a few constructive ways to support local and small businesses at this time.
- Buy gift cards or certificates: A little here and there can hold small businesses over
- Shop online: Check Facebook, Instagram, and other social media outlets for business websites or stores
- Order from restaurants with Delivery, Drive-Thru, Carry-Out, or Curbside Pick-up options
- Tip generously
- If you are a business with employees working extended hours, consider bringing in meals from a local restaurant.

Emergency Boarding Grants - helps animals who need temporary boarding while their owners are ill due to the COVID-19 virus. Urgent Care Grants - helps animals who need urgent and emergency veterinary care. - NEH CARES: Cultural Organizations.
Grants to help at-risk humanities positions and projects that have been impacted by the coronavirus. NEH will award grants to museums, libraries and archives, historic sites, independent research institutions, professional organizations, colleges and universities, and other cultural organizations across the country to help these entities continue to advance their mission during the interruption of their operations due to the coronavirus pandemic. Award Ceiling: $300,000. Closing Date: May 11, 2020. - The Photographer Fund.
Grant to assist self-employed photographers with up to $500 per person grants. Offered by Format. - Professional Beauty Association COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Grant providing $500 to licensed beauty professionals who are unable to work due to COVID-19. The funding is intended to be emergency aid for short-term immediate needs such as food and bills. Award ceiling: $500. - Beauty Industry Relief Grants
Grant providing financial assistance to beauty professionals or students of beauty programs, whose lives have been drastically changed by the mandated closures in response to COVID-19. Available to beauty professionals and students who are unemployed and cannot maintain their regular income. Award ceiling: $1,000. - CND x BCL Nail Professional Relief Grant
